2007 Alumni Reunion
 On
July 7 and 8, 2007, alumni from all over the country, came together
to celebrate the Past, Present, and Future of the DC Youth Orchestra
Program. There were a number of rehearsals of the Alumni Orchestra,
comprised of alumni (from 1960-2007) as well as a handful of students
and faculty.
There was a picnic on Saturday July 7th, in a park near Coolidge
High School at which alumni had an opportunity to reacquaint and
to come to the microphone to roast or toast Maestro McLain  since
his retirement in the spring of 2006. On Sunday there was an amazing
concert at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,
Concert Hall, featuring wonderful music by the Alumni Orchestra
and statements of support and well wishes for the organization
and Maestro Lyn McLain.
