Events/News: The DC Youth Orchestra Program maintains a vibrant and active concert season with 21 concerts per year during the regular sessions and an additional 3-5 concerts during the summer session; beginning students perform twice each year and all other young musicians perform at least four times per year. Opportunities to perform regularly are a vital part of the music education provided through the program. In addition to many concerts, the students also participate in juries and master classes. The organization's newsletter is published monthly and there are a variety of sources of information surrounding the organization's activities and events.
