Tuition

While the average cost per student is $600/semester, DCYOP keeps its tuition low to make its programs affordable for all. Tuition for DCYOP’s orchestras and Young Musicians Academy covers lessons/sectionals, rehearsals, concerts, evaluations and master classes.

Tuition assistance is offered at a sliding scale. To qualify for a reduced rate, families must submit documentation of income and household size. For more information and to see if you are eligible to apply, please click here. 

The range of tuition is listed below:

Young Musicians Academy $25 – $295

Beginning Ensembles (Sinfonia, Wind Ensemble) $40 – $350

Intermediate Orchestras (Young Artist Orchestra, Repertory Orchestra) $45 – $375

Advanced Orchestras (Youth Philharmonic, Youth Orchestra) $50 – $395

Additional Discounts:

Current DCPS students are eligible to receive a $25 discount off of full-price tuition. Please email tuition@dcyop.org to receive the discount information. Tuition is waived for Eastern High School students. For more information on DCYOP’s school partnerships, click here.
