Please read carefully as the information below has changed for the 2017-2018 school year.
While the average cost per student is $600/semester, DCYOP keeps its tuition low to make its programs affordable for all. Tuition covers lessons/sectionals, rehearsals, concerts, evaluations and master classes.
Tuition assistance is offered at a sliding scale. To qualify for a reduced rate, families must submit documentation of income and household size. Information on eligibility and application process.
DCYOP encourages families to register in advance and offers an early bird price for many of its classes. The early bird pricing expires on September 1st, 2017. Those registering for the Young Musicians Academy can register at the early bird pricing by semester (with the exception of 4.5 year old violin class); all other families have the option of registering for the school year at the early bird rate, or by semester.
Early bird pricing is listed below:
Young Musicians Academy (Beginner lessons, Continuing A, Debut Strings, Premier Winds) $25 – $295/semester*
Beginning Ensembles (Sinfonia, Wind Ensemble) $80 – $700/year
Intermediate Orchestras (Young Artist Orchestra, Repertory Orchestra) $90-$750/semester
Youth Philharmonic $100 – $800/year
