Tuition Assistance

DCYOP offers tuition assistance based upon household size and income. Please refer to the charts below to see which category may be right for your family.

Please send a copy of your most recent federal tax return (form 1040) to tuition@dcyop.org. You may black out social security numbers though we must be able to see names. Once approved, DCYOP will send you a personalized coupon code to use when registering for a class. This code is non-transferrable.

Please note: tuition assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, should a student miss more than 3 classes per semester, DCYOP reserves the right to reallocate the family’s tuition assistance. Also, all fees listed above are based on early bird pricing. Additional fees are applied to families who register after the early bird registration period expires.

Your approval is good for one school year (September – August).

Payment Plans

For those who do not qualify for any of the categories below, DCYOP offers a payment plans. Please note that your card will be charged on the dates indicated on the invoice. If the payment does not go through, then DCYOP will send an electronic invoice. You then have one week to provide payment or DCYOP staff reserves the right to cancel enrollment. After 30 days, a $30 late fee per missed installment will be applied. Please note that in order to opt into a payment plan, the account must be in good standing and cannot have an outstanding balance from a previous semester.

Extenuating Circumstances

DCYOP does offers tuition assistance for families with extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis. For more information, please email tuition@dcyop.org.

Instrument Loans

For students receiving category 1 or 2 tuition assistance, DCYOP does provide an instrument as part of the program tuition. Instruments are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to inventory. For more information about this program, please email tuition@dcyop.org when applying for tuition assistance. Also, note the following instruments are not eligible for this program: recorder, harp and saxophone.
