How to apply
Please fill out the following form, which will ask you to upload a copy of your most recent federal tax return (form 1040). You should cover Social Security Numbers, but we must be able to see the child’s name, the total income, and the number of dependents. If they wish, families may password-protect the file and send the password to [email protected]. We can also accept TANF, SNAP, and SSI forms that include the child’s name.
You will receive a reply within 3-5 business days. If approved, DCYOP will send you a personalized coupon code to use when registering for your class. Your approval is good for one school year (September – August). When it expires, you must apply again by following the above procedure.
Payment plans
Families who prefer not to pay for the full year at once may select to pay by semester, quarterly, or monthly. You will be prompted to choose your payment plan at the end of the registration form/process.
Instrument loans
For students receiving category 1 or 2 tuition assistance, DCYOP provides an instrument as part of the program tuition. Instruments are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to inventory. To request an instrument loan, please email [email protected] when applying for tuition assistance. The following instruments are not eligible for this program: recorder, harp, percussion.
Extenuating circumstances
DCYOP offers tuition assistance for families with extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
